Day of Rage in Bahrain As Thousands Take to the Streets in Nanama – Bahrain Freedom Movement

Protesting against the killing of Bahrainis by the Saudi occupiers and their partners in crime — Britain and the United States — 100,000 or more Bahrainis took to the streets and gathered at Manama’s Pearl Square, demanding that the Saudi-protected al-Khalifa monarchy discuss reforms now.
The demand for reforms began more than a year ago. After months of dilly-dallying and use of force, the Bahraini Sunni King brought in Saudi Arabian military with tanks and arms to secure control of Bahrain. Both London and Washington blessed the Bahraini King for his steadfastness and showered him with weapons. Since then, killing of protestors has become a daily event and the mainstream media has assiduously kept Bahraini news out of print.
The latest surge in protests followed the killing of a reform-seeking activist by the Saudi military on Wednesday. Over a thousand people participated in the funeral procession of the victim, shot during the funeral procession of another protester. The Obama administration, encouraging armed resurrections from outside to change regimes in Syria and Iran and protect the British-Saudi interest at any cost, said on Tuesday that it was very concerned about recent violence in the protests in Bahrain and urged all parties to exercise restraint.
More than 45 people have died in 13 months of unrest in Bahrain, where the majority Shi’ite population seek greater citizens’ rights from Sunni rulers. Authorities also made hundreds of arrests as part of the crackdowns, including 20 medical personnel from Bahrain’s main state hospital charged with anti-state crimes. In a statement Saturday, the government said it would now pursue charges against five of the medical professionals and refer the others to a medical disciplinary board.
