The Political Commission has met a delegation from the political opposition movements in Bahrain, headed by Hasan Mushaymi, and consisting of Abd-al-Wahab Husayn from the Al-Wafa Trend in Bahrain; Shaykh Sa’id Nuri, teacher at the Hawzah academy in Bahrain;
and Dr Muhammad Sa’id, member of the Bahrain Centre for Human Rights. The delegation discussed the forces and work of the opposition movements inside Bahrain, as well as the political situation in Bahrain. The attendees also discussed the Al-Sadr Trend’s regional role and religious constants in bearing the concerns of all believers in the region, which put the trend at the top of the components that the Bahraini opponents approached to make use of its experience, visions, stances, and relations to solve the problems of political work. The Political Commission’s representatives demonstrated the Al-Sadr Trend’s experience, since its formation by Sayyid Muhammad Sadiq al-Sadr and its continuation under the leadership of Sayyid Muqtada al-Sadr. The two sides agreed on a mechanism for keeping in touch and preparing for a meeting between the Bahraini delegation and the Al-Sadr bloc at the end of this month [September].
